Pug Café Set to Bring Dachshund Café to London

Dachshund Café comes to London

Pug Cafe is set to have its first ever Dachshund Café event in London. The event will take place at The Happenstance in Paternoster Square and is scheduled to come up on the 19th of August.  It will be recalled that the team at Pug Café in the past organized other events in areas such as Surrey and Manchester where hundreds of dogs were in attendance and had a lovely time.

The Dachshund café event in London is also going to be for those who own dachshunds and every other person who loves to be around these cute animals.

The event is set to take place at The Happenstance in Paternoster Square and is scheduled to come up on the 19th of August

All dachshunds in attendance will be entitled to a free bag of “pupcorn” and “pupuccino”. There will also be a menu dedicated to these animals and delicacies such as “PAW-ty rings,” “PAwbons,” “Dognuts,” “Pawsecco” and other edibles from Rudi’s The Doggy Bakery Kitchen will be available.  For their human friends, light bites, a delicious food menu, cocktails, and Summer Spritzes will be available for their consumption.

Booking Information

Bookings for the event will start on the 28th of July at 10 a.m. The event will be strictly by booking and walk-ins will not be allowed. Also, there will be a need to have a  reservation confirmed before attendance can be guaranteed. Dachshunds owners will purchase the tickets at the rate of £10, while Dachshund lovers, i.e. non-dog owners, will buy at the rate of £15. Children under the age of 16 will get a 20% discount on ticket price while those under five years and the Dachshunds will get to enter for free.

The ticket price covers 70 minutes: 10 a.m., 11.10am, 12.20pm, 1:30 pm, 2.40pm, 3:50 pm and the final round of the event will begin by 5 p.m. The event planners have projected that this would be enough time for those who do not have dachshunds to make friends with the purries by handing out treats from the goody bags to be provided at the venue.   At the moment, there is already a Facebook group where prospective attendees can interact

More Details About The Event

The event is open to dachshunds of all kind, including miniature, long-hair and wire-haired dachshunds. Those that have mixed Dachshunds are expected to make it known in their booking request.  For the event, other breeds of dogs are not allowed as it is strictly a dachshund event.

Also, there are specific criteria that any dog to be brought to the event is expected to fulfill. For instance, the dog has to have an up-to-date vaccination, be well behaved, healthy with no symptom of contagious diseases, free from Kennel Cough, and the dog should not be in season.

For people who have dachshunds that have never been to a coffee shop or café and are uncertain about how their dogs will react, the team has advised them to take their dogs to a nearby café prior to the event so they have an idea of how their dogs will react.

Any dog to be brought to the event must have an up-to-date vaccination, be well behaved, healthy with no symptom of contagious diseases, free from Kennel Cough and should not be in season.

Also, once a slot has been allotted, the slot cannot be swapped, and those who do not get slots will be put on a waiting list and reached out to in any case where a slot becomes available. Although swapping is not allowed, transfer requests are, however, permitted in a situation when the owner becomes ill, the dog gets sick or comes into season or any other unforeseen circumstance. The approval of the transfer request will also be at the team’s discretion. Unavailability at the event must be communicated to the organizers at least five days before the event and no changes after that time frame will be allowed.

Also, the event can typically cater for groups of 5s, but the team has indicated that they would only want two individuals to one dog due to limited space. In addition, a person can come with a maximum of four dachshunds, and anyone who intends to bring more than four is expected to make that known in the booking request mail.
