Illinois County Votes to Ban Assault Weapons

Campbell and Kibler Finally Speak

The issue of gun regulation has been an age-long case for debate in several decision-making organizations in America, and Illinois is also joining the forces.

The county of Illinois took an incisive and unanimous decision recently when the board adopted the declaration on one particular 8-1 poll and instructed its workers to avoid imposing any latest law at the state level which would limit the Second Amendment with the constitutional backing and tenets.

The state attorney from Effingham County, Bryan Kibler, explained that this move is very characteristic and it won’t handle governing by imposing the law. During an interview program on Fox, Kibler and one of the members of the board for Effingham County, David Campbell, were on hand to expatiate on the idea that inspired the decision and how it would affect the US as a whole.

While expounding on the recommendation, Campbell explained that the board executives agreed to be firm on a choice, because recently, there have been a rising amount of proposed acts by the Senate and the House at the state level that is vehemently against the Second Amendment, to which they are witnessing day by day.

The board of Illinois county is representing the voice of its people in making its community a safe place

Campbell added that the board has agreed that the time has come for somebody to be bold and stand firmly. He said he was behind the shaping of the declaration when another bill that looked like it was passed by the county of Iroquois in Illinois.

Adding his voice to the subject matter, Kibler pointed out that the step may possibly focus more on significance, yet the members think it’s crucial to voice out the feelings of several community people in Effingham County who are worried about the rights contained in the Second Amendment, afraid that it’s gradually being erased.

So, the people deliberated and thought of just making their county a refuge type, similar to the type they usually build for illegal foreigners, hence the creation of the declaration, says Kibler, adding that the board has been awashed with abundant expression of solidarity, but of course, coupled with certain drawbacks.

The poll in the southern part of Illinois was carried out following a recent occasion when one town close to Chicago casted a vote to prohibit firearms and weapons, like the highly-sophisticated and powerful magazines, and AR- rifles.

The foundation on which the Second Amendment was established had to do partly with gun ownership and firearm mobility

What does the Second Amendment entail?

The Second Amendment also referred to as ‘Amendment II’ is an aspect of the American constitution that secures the fundamental right of Americans to own and carry weapons around, which was a law passed on the 15th of December, 1791. The Amendment is among the initial 10 amendments embedded in the collections of Bill of Rights.

In the first month of 1788, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, and Georgia upheld the law but they didn’t fight for its amendments. Many certain amendments went through proposals, but none was passed during the time when the Constitution received approval.

An instance was the council of Pennsylvania when 15 adjustments were deliberated upon, among them was the one that dealt with the privilege of the citizens which were allowed to arm themselves, then other one focused on the commandos. The Assembly of Massachusetts also endorsed the Constitution and included the list of adjustments it intended to propose. After all said and done, the approval conference was divided equally among the lawmakers who supported and those who opposed the Constitution.

James Madison was the most ardent supporter of the Second Amendment, who believed that foot soldiers should be strong enough to combat terrorists or insurgents

One lawmaker proposed that the constitution should not be designed to give power to the Congress which would allow it to interfere with the fair freedom of the journalists, or obstruct the privileges of the conscience; or hinder the citizens of America, who always abide by the law and advocate for peace, from possessing their personal guns, or maybe to gather foot soldiers, unless it’s important to defend the country.

The resolutions were not enough to stop the arguments among several groups who always have contrary opinions to gun ownership and gun regulations.
