How To Start The New Year Right: A Saving Tip That Is Easy But Effective

Another year is just around the corner, which means it’s the time of that year again to make New Year’s resolution. For others, the New Year is the best chance to start anew and just let go of the things that happened in the recently concluded year. It is the time where people reflect on what has happened and also look forward to what’s to come!
People are usually hyped and upbeat when the clock strikes 12:01. We tend to make promises and we promise ourselves to keep those promises. We make resolutions that we are so eager to accomplish. But more often than not, we find ourselves barely surviving the year, leaving us to hope for the next year to come. This is a cycle that we usually have but there are actually things that will not take much of our time and can help us attain these goals.
Health
How many times have we promised ourselves to have a healthier lifestyle and to always work out in the next year? Well, we do it every Monday, every start of the month, and every after holidays. But we always find ourselves not moving any closer to our desired goal.

Working out doesn’t mean we have to get a gym membership
The culprit to this failed system is our desire to find instant results, which will never happen by the way. We should lower our expectations when it comes to weight loss and just let our body transition the natural way. It’s also good to remember that staying active is one of the keys. The daily 10-minute exercise will do so much more than an hour or two every week. We should also have the discipline and the right mindset so we can accomplish what we thought is impossible.
The most valuable thing is to find happiness in what we do. Being miserable with the food that we eat and the exercises we do will not show significant results. It’s always best to have a time for adjustment and falling in love with the new health routine that we’re planning to take.
Finances
It’s difficult to save when we are reminded of products everywhere we look. We pass by shopping centers on the way to work and when we open internet browsers, we find ads of online stores. There is just no escaping consumerism that is why we always find ourselves without savings.

Jamie Rappaport, the woman behind the Three-Day Rule
There is a new saving method that is going viral on the internet- the “Three-day rule”. It is a trick by Jamie Rappaport from Pennsylvania who got it from her mother. This strategy is simple, when she feels like buying something, she waits for three days before purchasing the items. These things are those she’ll only use once, like an expensive coffee or a food takeout. The three days will give her time to assess if she really needs it or it’s just another product of her impulse. If she still has that craving after three days, then she buys the item. It also applies to expensive and luxurious products. She makes sure that she will be able to use that purchase more than once so the money she spent will not be put to waste. After sticking to this rule, she finds herself having extra savings and a few pounds off her weight.
Self
Because of the demanding day-to-day tasks, we find ourselves more tired than the last. We sometimes overlook our emotional and physical health. We prioritize our monthly bills and our responsibilities. There is nothing wrong having a firm foot on reality, but sometimes it is just too much.

A quick trip to the spa can instantly boost overall mood
We should always remember that taking a break is nothing to be guilty about. But too much resting is also not a good thing to do. We must keep our body and brain active. We have to find time to read and feed our brains with new information.
Having difficulty to find the time? Then, eBooks and podcasts are the solutions to that. Butch Conde, a thinker and a Pastor shares that he listens to eBooks when he’s in the shower, or when preparing meals. Through this, he can learn something new without having to sacrifice his schedule.
