
Costa Rica’s New President Pioneers Fossil Fuel Ban

Carlos Alvarado, the newly elected Costa Rica’s president, declared ambition to ban the use of fossil fuels. The ban on the said matter has been viewed by many as a step in the right direction, as the demerits of fossil fuels seems to outweigh its merits.
Fossil fuels are huge contributors of high amounts of carbon which has been released into the atmosphere every now and then, and this has been one of the foremost factors, when it comes to one of global warming contributors.
Although fossil fuels are inexpensive and dependable sources of energy, they are non-renewable energy sources. It would actually take several years, running to millions of years, before used up fossil fuels becomes replenished.

Carlos Alvarado made a nationwide broadcast concerning the prohibition on the use of fossil fuels, as he intends to reduce the carbon content present in the environment.

Alvarado, who is a political scientist, and who was once a journalist, stated that the reduction of the carbon content is a huge mission in times like these, and Costa Rica as a country must set the pace.
This huge task, he stated, has been bestowed upon us, and ensuring that fossil fuels use is abolished, should be tackled head on, the economy stands a chance to get access to the use of rechargeable and fresh energy. He made mention of this at his installation speech at the Plaza de la Democracy.
Goodwill Plans for Costa-Rica
Alvarado spoke extensively to the crowd of about 2,000 people, who once again had to listen to the promises their new leader made during the campaign period. Promises such as the fiscal shortfall by about 50%, enhanced innovative when it comes to expanding the white-collar lawbreaking-opposition, and also to dispense public funds, in a bid to achieve the aims and objectives which the country intends to meet.
He further expressed his joy and understanding that the presidential badge had given to him, explained the great value of having everyone as citizens in a country where the greatest responsibility he has, is to serve. Alvaro’s election as the president of Costa Rica, makes him the youngest ever to be installed.
38-year old Alvaro, who is currently serving as the country’s 48th president, is enthusiastic to set the pace in the latest environmental innovative, making Costa Rica an exemplary laboratory when it comes to reducing the carbon content.

This would tally with the Paris Climate Agreement. Going through the agenda of the counter-climate change plans and propositions, the Paris Agreement, which was held in 2016, intends to ensure that the temperature of the Earth does not increase by two degrees Celsius
Trump Pulls Out Of The Paris Climate Pact; Gives His Reasons
Donald Trump made a proclamation that the United States has pulled out from the pact, this proclamation came about one year after Trump assumed office.
Trump however gave his reasons for withdrawing from the Paris Climate pact, taking it from the economic aspect, he opined that the pact did not favor American workers and the competitiveness occurring in the U.S.
He further stated that negotiations could be entered into once again, provided the terms of the negotiation, favour the entirety of the U.S. which includes its workers, the tax payers, the businesses amongst others. He was however mute on what the new agreement would seem like.

Countries such as China and the European Union have not backed down on their vow yet, as they have promised over and over again that it would be executed. Other countries around the Caribbean and the Latin America axis, have swung into action already, as bags made from plastic and other similar items, have been banned.
As a matter of fact, since 2005, the list of countries wanting to ban vehicles which are powered by fossil fuels, have been on the rise. Countries such as the United Kingdom, China, France, Germany and a host of others, are part of this ever-expanding matter.
